Baseball: A third NDG team advances to the national tournament

The NDG Major Lynx (11-12 yrs old) and Drummondville Redsox played on July 23 in what could have been the 1st of two over two days, to determine who would earn the right to represent Little League Quebec at the Canadian Little League championships in Glace Bay, NS.

According to Ken Quinn, director of communications of the NDG Minor Baseball League, the game was close throughout, and even tied at 5-5 for a time, but in the end the Major Lynx never trailed in the game and took it 7-5. The Lynx win cemented the team as the LLQ representatives in Glace Bay. Their schedule in Glace Bay is as follows (times eastern):

August 2nd at 12 pm Major Lynx vs. Ontario
August 3rd at 10 am Major Lynx vs. Maritimes
August 4th at 1 pm Major Lynx vs. Alberta
