Finding somewhere to live that is close to nature, quiet, and calm but near all the needs and wants of everyday city life is hard to do. A new residential development in Côte-des-Neiges, however, might just offer you all of that.

The Forest Hill condominium project at the corner of Côte-des-Neiges Rd. and Forest Hill Ave. will offer 68 high-class condo units on eight floors, ranging in price from $184,000 for a one-bedroom to $436,000 for two. Sixty-five parking spaces are also available in a lot accessible by elevator. The developers are from Groupe SBI.

The unique architecture of the planned building should be what attracts potential buyers to this condominium. Windows and balconies cover the exterior which should offer a decent view of Mont Royal–for those condos along Côte-des-Neiges Rd.–and bathe the interior in sunlight. The ground level will include a lobby, two businesses, as well as storage space for bicycles. Outside, a landscaped garden and car drop-off area will be maintained.

“The architecture is very interesting,” said Daniel Lafond, the director of urban planning in the borough. “This will be a beautiful project at the gateway to the borough, that is certain.”

The units will include carpeted bedrooms, ceramic tile bathroom and kitchen floors, and maple hardwood floors in the living areas. Each kitchen will have granite countertops with built-in stoves and dishwashers. The units will be sound-proofed with the option of adding air conditioning. The mezzanine level will include an equipped gym as well as storage lockers.

Construction has yet to begin on the condominiums.
